Applications
Advertising or promotion
As there is such good visibility through SmartLouvre screens you can paint the outside of the screen using your own design or corporate logo and yet it is totally invisible from the inside.
In addition any painted image or logo will give almost total privacy to the building, whilst the occupants can enjoy views! From the outside an image of a sunflower, from the inside uninterrupted views.
Displays and Exhibition stands
SmartLouvre's unique micro louvre system makes it a perfect complement to museum displays and exhibition stands. It is currently installed in the British Museum London, Sotheby's Auction House London and a number of museums throughout the USA.
SmartLouvre is installed at the top of the stand below the lighting source. The micro louvre system which prevents the sun entering buildings when installed on a vertical plane, hides the light source from the visitors to the display or stand. This means that the display will enjoy a shadow free, even lighting without distracting bright spotlights or flickering fluorescent tubes.
Partitions
When tilted at 90ยบ SmartLouvre provides a perfect partition for offices and houses. It is often used in reception areas so that visitors or clients cannot see the area behind reception whilst the workers can enjoy an uninterrupted, natural light. It is also used in modern open plan offices and houses to separate areas, whereby occupants can only see into each area from certain angles.
From this angle you cannot see through the partition, however next to it, occupants enjoy perfect visibility through it.
Block damaging effects of UV
SmartLouvre is used in museums and residential houses to reduce the harmful effects of UV, which can damage paintings and objets d'art. Using the same principals which block glare from buildings SmartLouvre also totally eliminates UV during a large proportion of the day.
This is not only important for paintings and expensive pieces of art which are damaged by UV but also for furniture and material which fades dramatically from long exposure to UV light.
