The National Energy Foundation states that ‘80% of existing buildings will still be standing in 2050. Single and uncoated double glazing, more ‘permeable’ to solar energy, is still common in the UK’s and the EU’s existing building stock.
Owners and Facilities Managers of old, heritage and listed buildings will be familiar with the problems presented by non-compliant buildings through original glazing solutions.
MicroLouvre™ can rejuvenate, prolong and transform buildings and glazing into modern, energy saving, occupant comfortable, health and safety compliant and weather protected investments for many additional years.

HOW IT WORKS
Like all good things, it’s very simple. MicroLouvre™ Koolshade® is a light but incredibly strong architectural material made from 700 paper thin bronze louvres woven into every metre of unique metal fabric. It can be integrated into your glazing or tensioned into a lightweight aluminium frame. It can be quickly and easily installed to the whole façade, the window frames or just the glazing itself.
Applying MicroLouvre™ to your facade, either using a stand-alone screen or within the glazing, provides effective protection against excess heat gain, glare whilst still maintaining visibility to the outside world. Its application has been proven to reduce energy demand for cooling by as much as 70% and lighting by over 50% and therefore providing a rapid return on investment.
