Victory Park, in the city of Omsk, which is one of the biggest monuments of Eastern Russia and an awe-inspiring war memorial, underwent a recent restoration where a sympathetic change in the lighting theme was vital.

The problem                                                            

Linea Light group and the lighting designers were looking to revamp this historical park’s lighting system. During this recent renovation, the complete technical lighting system was overhauled to give the park a new, aesthetic feel.  

The MicroLouvre® anti-glare, light directing paper thin louvres were a core part of this restoration as a supporting tool for maintaining an elegant environment and eliminating any visual discomfort.

The solution

The Xenia product was used to light the photographs located in the niches dedicated to the fallen. Xenia was selected, not only for its high technical lighting performance which creates the right lighting without glaring and disturbing passersby, but above all because of its compact size and pass-through cabling, characteristics which permitted easy installation of the fixtures.  

To achieve these results, our MicroLouvre® ultra-thin metal fabric louvres were integrated into the units and permitted optimum light transfer, ensuring high energy efficiency, which is key to any lighting strategy.
